C4DI Community Culture: Week 1 - Care

Culture, the collective behaviour of an organisation, is an important driver for healthy, growing, thriving businesses.

In recognition of this, we have eight exciting weeks of activities to celebrate some of the most successful cultural traits demonstrated by some of the world's most productive organisations.

Each week will have themed activities, based around a certain topic.

Last week's activities were based around Care. Caring for yourself and your co-workers, whether in body, mind or spirit, is essential to maintain a positive outlook and productive work life. We'll reveal the next values over subsequent weeks.

Yoga: We started the week with a challenging yoga session, sending members back to work feeling restored and refreshed.

Massage: Our Indian Head Massage sessions proved to be a huge hit with our community!

Having a relaxing treat like that really broke up my day and gave me time to clear my head. I'd really recommend it!” - Jenni Harrison

Fit-to-Work: Alex Chester and Sarah Louise Davies showed us how being active at work can improve our cognitive performance.

“The session was really good fun. It was great to get up and moving as we spend most of our time sat at desks, so it allowed us to burn off some steam and get active.” - Dave Gilbey

Meditation: We finished off Care Week with a morning meditation session, enabling members to begin the day with a positive attitude.

“I thoroughly enjoyed it, we live stressful lives so it’s good to clear your mind every now and then. Giving yourself permission to stop working and have a moment to think is really important.” - Tim Mutlow
