NFire Labs Launches 3D-Printed Gift Range

Product design, 3D printing and rapid manufacturing company NFire Labs has launched its first 3D-printed gift range.

Customised for you at the click of a button, the gifts - which include brightly-coloured keyrings, home accessories, can holders and fridge magnets - are printed on demand in NFire’s offices at C4DI.

“We’ve always specialised in designing bespoke - often one-off - items for businesses. However, we’ve recently developed software that allows us to quickly adapt designs and create customised 3D files, which has enabled us to create this gift range” Alex Youden, founder of NFire Labs, explains.

Alex started out as an intern for C4DI, founding NFire in 2014 with a mission to allow more businesses access to 3D printing. Since then, NFire has produced and developed bespoke products for companies and individuals around the world, helping them save time and reduce costs in manufacturing and development.

NFire’s new product range fits in nicely with the increase in popularity of personalised giftware and the rise of online stores, such as Not On The High Street and Prezzy Box.

“3D printing is not only a fun and unique way to give a gift, but it also means that there are no wasted materials - everything is printed to order, with no need for moulds or other waste, making this a very environmentally-friendly way to create personal items.”

This new commercial step for NFire has coincided with the addition of Alexandria Hanson to the team as an NFire Angel.

“Alexandria has already made a massive difference since starting here at NFire,” Youden tells us.

“She’s taken a closer look at the business management side of things, coming up with new ideas - such as the gift range - and helping out with marketing.”

“I joined NFire just under three months ago. As a tech newbie, I was intrigued to learn about the creative world of 3D printing,” Alexandria says.

“Alex and everyone else at C4DI, alongside the wider tech community, have been extremely welcoming, and I’m looking forward to getting to know more people in the future. Unfortunately, Alex Y doesn’t drink tea, so if anyone fancies a chat and a cuppa, let me know!”

Both the Alexes at NFire are thrilled with their new product range, hoping to list new items on their Etsy store every few weeks. The pair are also working with business clients to produce bespoke corporate gifts.

“Not many people have something that is 3D-printed, so giving a 3D-printed gift to your family, friends, colleagues or client at an event is just a bit different. And, we’ve now got the power to create some extra cool, personalised items ,” Alex adds.
